Purpose

The AIM-AHEAD Consortium Development Projects program has established multidisciplinary research projects that use AI/ML to develop novel algorithms and approaches to address health disparities. Awardees used new or existing datasets — such as electronic health records, image data, and Social Determinants Of Health — to develop and enhance AI/ML algorithms that have the potential to detect and illuminate ethical or other emerging issues to reduce health disparities while improving healthcare and outcomes for populations experiencing health disparities in the United States.
