1. AIM-AHEAD All of Us Training Program (Applications Closed)

The AIM-AHEAD All of Us Training Program is intended to increase researcher diversity in AI/ML by leveraging the All of Us data and infrastructure (Researcher Workbench). Through a collaborative partnership of AIM-AHEAD, All of Us, and RTI, the traineeship offers an 8-month program engaging a diverse group of graduate students, postdocs, early-career faculty, healthcare professionals, and other non-academic professionals from underrepresented populations. They will use the AIM-AHEAD Connect Platform, AIM-AHEAD Data Science Training Core, and All of Us Resources to navigate the program and complete a research project utilizing All of Us data subsets in the Researcher Workbench. Participants also receive training and technical assistance related to R, Python, Jupyter Notebook, and model development.

2. AIM-AHEAD Bridge2AI AI-READI Training Program (Applications Closed)

The AIM-AHEAD Bridge2AI AI-READI Training Program will increase researcher diversity and expand AI-READI data access through a 8-month program comprised of graduate students, postdocs, early-career faculty, healthcare professionals, and other non-academic professionals. The AIM-AHEAD and Bridge2AI partnership will utilize the resources of the AI-READI data, AIM-AHEAD’s Data Science Training Core, and AIM-AHEAD Connect Platform, allowing AIM-AHEAD trainees to conduct novel research at the intersection of AI/ML and health disparities with a multi-modal array of data elements from a diverse cohort.

3. AIM-AHEAD Bridge2AI for Clinical Care Training Program (Applications Closed)

The AIM-AHEAD Bridge2AI for Clinical Care Training Program will expand Bridge2AI AI/ML for Clinical Care data access through engagement, training, and mentorship, including the use of AI/ML in analysis for underrepresented trainees. To accomplish this objective, AIM-AHEAD and Bridge2AI will train a diverse cohort of professionals committed to applying AI/ML to benefit underrepresented communities. Through an intensive 8-month program in advanced data analysis developed by Bridge2AI, utilizing the resources of the Bridge2AI AI/ML for Clinical Care Network, AIM-AHEAD’s Data Science Training Core, and AIM-AHEAD Connect, trainees will be equipped to conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets essential for cutting-edge biomedical and socioeconomic research.

4. AIM-AHEAD & NCATS Training Program (Applications Closed)

In this unique program offered by a partnership between AIM-AHEAD and the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), a diverse cohort of up to 50 trainees will learn to ethically and effectively apply AI/ML methods to the robust data in the NCATS National COVID Cohort Collaboration (N3C) Data Enclave. Thus, they will unlock insights that can address health disparities and improve health outcomes for traditionally underserved populations.

5. AIM-AHEAD ScHARe Equity in Population Health AI: Beyond EHR Training Program (Applications Closed)

The AIM-AHEAD ScHARe Training Program is designed to increase the diversity of researchers skilled in AI/ML by providing training on the utilization of AI for population health research, leveraging the ScHARe Terra workspaces. This 8-month program will engage a diverse cohort of stakeholders interested in population health, including individuals from academia, industry, and community-based organizations. Using ScHARe’s Terra resources, trainees will develop foundational AI skills for community engagement and applying ethical principles to promote health equity.

Stipend: $10,000 stipend and $2,000 allowance to attend the AIM-AHEAD Annual Meeting 2025

Please Note: Applicants may apply to multiple AIM-AHEAD training programs and fellowships, but if accepted into more than one, they must select only one AIM-AHEAD training program or fellowship to participate in per funding cycle. AIM-AHEAD-funded Coordinating Center Personnel or AIM-AHEAD-funded Awardees (MPIs, PIs, Co-Investigators, other personnel) are eligible to apply, but if accepted, they will not receive the stipend and allowance.
